Abstract
Six MSF desalination units each of a capacity of 10 migd will be insta lled during the next years at Al Taweelah site in the Abu Dhabi Emirat e. These units together with a new steam power station producing 720 M W will be one of the biggest complex in the area. The design of these 10 migd MSF units will be the result of previous design and operation experience of the 8 migd units installed at Umm Al Nar Power Station i n 1986. An increased water output of more than 12 migd is also foresee n at increased TBT. This new generation of large MSF evaporators will incorporate significant developments on material and optimization on t he process control.
