Abstract
Thiosemicarbazones of 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy benzaldehyde were sy nthesised and characterised. The antioxidant activity of these compoun ds has been tested by measuring their ability to counteract degradatio n during processing of isotactic polypropylene. The melt flow index be haviour of the extruded sample was studied. Heat distortion temperatur e and Izod impact strength of the compression moulded samples have bee n measured.
