Abstract
Dithiothreitol markedly increased the ligand binding affinity of angio tensin II (AII) receptor type II (AT(2)) without affecting its antagon ist selectivity in cultured ovarian granulosa cells, demonstrating tha t this AT(2) is of the dithiothreitol-sensitive type. Dithiothreitol i s useful for specifically detecting low levels of the AT(2) in the ova ry, where it plays roles that are probably related to atresia.
