Abstract
Tube pancreatostomy for complete external drainage of pancreatic juice following pancreatoduodenectomy and a subsequent second-stage pancrea tojejunostomy were carried out in four high-risk patients without morb idity. This procedure avoids the fatal outcome associated with pancrea tojejunal anastomotic leakage following pancreatoduodenectomy in emerg ency and high-risk cases.
