Sb. Fu et al., THE ORIGIN ISOCHROMOSOMES AND THEIR SIGNIFICANCE IN TUMORIGENESIS OF HUMAN LUNG-CANCER, Cancer genetics and cytogenetics, 74(2), 1994, pp. 120-122
Isochromosomes related to chromosomes 1, 5, 6, 8, and 9 were frequentl
y observed in 23 cases of lung cancer. Their existence in tumor cells
might be nonrandom. Premature centromere separation (PCS) was found in
the PGT-131 cell line of a lung cancer. It is suggested that PCS may
play a role in the formation of isochromosomes in lung cancer.
