A model of soliton ion mobility in one-dimensional incommensurate stru
ctures is considered as the possible mechanism of information transmis
sion in molecular systems. Numerical calculations of the dependence of
the diffusion activation energy on the concentration of mobile ions a
m performed Experimental NMR data on lithium ion mobility in a model L
ixNbSe3 (0 < x less-than-or-equal-to 3) compound with a quasi-one-dime
nsional structure are presented It is demonstrated that the proposed m
odel describes the experimental data well.
