As. Ferguson et al., A COMPLETE LINEAR DISCRETIZATION FOR CALCULATING THE MAGNETIC-FIELD USING THE BOUNDARY-ELEMENT METHOD, IEEE transactions on biomedical engineering, 41(5), 1994, pp. 455-460
An analytic solution is derived for the magnetic field generated by cu
rrent sources located in a piecewise homogeneous volume conductor. A l
inear discretization approach is used, whereby the surface potential i
s assumed to be a piecewise linear function over each tessellated surf
ace defining the regions of differing conductivity. The magnetic field
is shown to be a linear combination of vector functions which are str
ictly dependent on the geometry of the problem, the surface tesselatio
n, and the observation point.
