Abstract
A procedure was developed for activity staining of peroxidase and beta -1,3-glucanase isozymes (a double staining procedure) in the same poly acrylamide gels using 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazol for peroxidase staining and laminarine and 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride for glucanase s taining. The procedure was used to detect peroxidase and beta-1,3-gluc anase in different corn lines using plant leaf extract. (C) 1994 Acade mic Press, Inc.
