Abstract
Among 1.038 E.coli isolated from the faeces of bovines in Belgium in 1 991, 1992 and 1993, twelve belong to serogroup 0157. These 0157 E.coli ferment sorbitol rapidly and only two produce a Verotoxin. They are d ifferent from 0157 isolates from human beings.
