The T-x-y data for binary mixtures composed of methyl acetate + (1-chl
oropentane or 1-chlorohexane) and ethyl acetate + (1-chloropentane or
1-chlorohexane) have been measured ebulliometrically at 101.32 kPa usi
ng a dynamic method. In thermodynamic calculations using these data, t
he vapor phase was considered to be non-ideal, and the four systems st
udied exhibit positive deviations from Raoult's law. The activity coef
ficients and vapor phase compositions have been compared with those pr
edicted by using UNIFAC and ASOG models.
