Abstract
Storage of chlorosulfonyl isocyanate over potassium, sodium or calcium carbonate and addition of these bases to the reaction mixture enables to perform many [2+2]cycloadditions with olefins, which, owing to aci dity of the commercially available reagent, so far gave negative resul ts.
