Abstract
I describe a nematic liquid-crystal spatial light modulator that can b e used as a high-precision wave-front control device. I present result s showing the open-loop correction of wave-front aberrations and demon strate wave-front shaping by the production and quantification of the first 15 significant Zernike terms.
