Abstract
The novel experimental approach is applied to investigate the cross se ctions for rotational relaxation sigma(rot.-rel.) in the SF6-Ar mixtur es irradiated by pulsed CO2 laser line. The applied method is the puls ed photoacoustic technique, and it is based on proposal for sigma(rot. -rel.) determination by transmission spectroscopy technique. The colli sional effects have been investigated for the 0,1-0,8 J/cm2 laser flue nce range. Also, the collisional effects on rotational and translation al temperature (T(R)) for SF6-Ar mixtures have been calculated.
