Abstract
The prediction and modelling are studied of complex multiphase behavio r of four prototype ternary mixtures typically encountered in cryogeni c processing of natural gases, with a new approach for solving the iso thermal multiphase flash problem. The method includes a rigorous metho d for thermodynamic stability analysis as the first step and an effici ent phase identification procedure as the second. The new algorithm pr ovides an accurate global description of phase behavior of the studied LNG systems, and excellent agreement of the results obtained with exp erimental data.
