Elastic and inelastic scattering of polarized Li-7 from Pb-208 at 33 M
eV is investigated by means of the continuum-discretized coupled chann
el method, using diagonal and coupling potentials derived from empiric
al alpha, t-target optical model potentials. The effects of the projec
tile breakup into alpha + t as well as target excitation and one-neutr
on transfer reaction are studied. A good description of the experiment
al data is obtained, The scattering of Li-7 from (208)pb at 33 MeV is
found to be of similar nature to the scattering of Li-6 from the same
target and at the same energy.
