Abstract
Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) and torque curves have been measured in electrodeposited CoPd alloy films with composition ranged from Co13Pd8 3 to Co45Pd55. We show that the origin of the multimode structure of F MR spectra in these strongly magnetostrictive polycrystalline films ca n be satisfactory explained on the basis of the independent-grain-appr oach for a textured microstructure. The fourfold periodicity of the to rque curves for the compositional range of 30-35 at% is assumed to be originated by inhomogeneous distribution of the magnetization directio n.
