Ultrasound-velocity characteristics as the functions of the bias field
for as-quenched state and after annealing at a temperature of 300-deg
rees-C in air for 1 h are presented for Fe73.5Cu1T3Si13.5B9 metallic g
lasses (where T = Cr, Zr, Sb, Ta, Nb, W, V). The highest changes of so
und velocities were observed for T = Nb and Ta. Annealing below the Cu
rie point (about 320-degrees-C) partially removes internal stresses an
d improves piezomagnetic properties.
