L. Tomco et al., STUDY OF THE STRUCTURALIZATION OF THE MAGNETIC PARTICLES IN MAGNETIC FLUIDS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 30(2), 1994, pp. 1112-1113
A magnetic field induced agglomeration of magnetic particles in magnet
ic fluids (mineral oil and kerosene based) with several volume concent
rations was studied by means of optical microscope equipped with a vid
eo camera. Scrutiny of the video revealed that time evolution of the a
ggregation process results from two processes i.e. (i) the formation o
f new (or primary) agglomerations (t less-than-or-equal-to 2s) and (ii
) the coalescence of primary agglomerations (t > 2s).
