Abstract
The new cerium ternary compounds Ce3Pt4Ge6 and Ce2Pt7Ge4 with novel cr ystal structure types have been prepared and characterized. We present transport and magnetic properties of these compounds in temperature r ange (2 - 300) K. Behavior of resistivity and magnetisation is similar , both compounds demonstrate Kondo-like features and possible magnetic transition near the helium temperature.
