Viscoelastic boundary layer flow over a stretching sheet with power-la
w surface temperature including frictional heating and internal heat g
eneration or absorption is studied. The non-similar boundary layer equ
ations are solved to obtain the important physical quantities such as
the skin friction coefficient and heat transfer coefficient. It is fou
nd that the magnitude of the surface velocity gradient increases and t
he surface temperature gradient decreases with the non-Newtonian param
eter for the case in which the difference between the source temperatu
re and that of the ambient fluid remains constant.
