The article covers 3 outbreaks of infectious bovine keratoconjunctivit
is (IBKC) involving 43.33% of total animal population at 3 adjacent vi
llages. Moraxella bovis and Branhamella ovis were isolated, and are pr
obably the major cause of IBKC. The isolates were confirmed on the bas
is of cultural,morphological and biochemical characters. The organisms
were susceptible to commonly used antibiotics like gentamycin, chlora
mphenicol, ampicillin and penicillin.
