Abstract
Using a stroboscopic photoelastic method, the visualization is carried out of various mode patterns of Lamb waves propagating in a glass pla te. Observed results are compared with theoretical mode patterns. Visu alization of resonant Lamb modes also provides a means for measuring p hase velocities of various Lamb modes. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical curves.
