Rr. Yadava et Sn. Yadava, VISCOMETRIC STUDY OF MOLECULAR-INTERACTIONS IN BINARY-LIQUID MIXTURESOF POLAR AND NONPOLAR-SOLVENTS, Revue Roumaine de Chimie, 39(1), 1994, pp. 15-21
Viscosity of polar solute, dichloromethane in a mixture with non polar
solvents cyclohexane, benzene, p-xylene and mesitylene have been meas
ured at 293.15 K and 303.15 K. The viscosity of binary mixtures prepar
ed with cyclohexane show appreciable negative deviation from rectiline
ar dependence on mole fraction, this deviation is gradually decreased
in case of benzene, p-xylene and mesitylene. An attempt has been made
to correlate the deviation of viscosity from the recti-linear dependen
ce and parametre 'd' and 'c' values with the degree of interaction. It
was found that the value of 'c' parametre obtained by Hind-MC-Laughli
n ubbelhode equation containing single constant is more consistant tha
n the value of 'd' parametre obtained by Grunberg-Nissan equation.
