The caloric effects for hydrolytic reaction of TiCl4 tetrabutoxytitana
te and butoxytitanate chlorides were determined using adiabatic calori
meter with isothermal mantle. The caloric effect is marcantly dependen
t on the water/titanate molar ratio, a maximal value being attained to
r 30:1 ratio. In the case of the butoxytitanium chlorides the caloric
effect cannot be evaluated by additivity, on the basis of group contri
butions.
