The spectroscopic squeezing characteristics of the angular-momentum st
ate exp(thetaS(z))exp[-(ipi/2)S(y)]\S,m] are calculated. The parameter
square-root 2S DELTAS(x)/\[S(z)]\ is shown to be less than or equal t
o 1 and takes the asymptotic value (1 + S)-1/2 as theta --> 0 if m alm
ost-equal-to 0. This small value makes those states especially useful
in applications where quantum noise reduction is required. Also, the s
pin-spin correlations of those states are nonzero and negative.
