The statistics of a temperature increment across a distance in the ine
rtial range in isotropic turbulence is discussed on the basis of the O
bukhov-Corrsin similarity, the extensive use of the Kolmogorov refined
similarity hypothesis and the three-dimensional tetranomial Cantor se
t model for isotropic turbulence with a passive advected scalar. The r
esult compares well with available experimental data.
