M. Subbalakshmamma et Sj. Reddy, ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION BEHAVIOR AND ANALYSIS OF SOME ORGANOPHOSPHOROUS PESTICIDES, Electroanalysis, 6(5-6), 1994, pp. 521-526
The electrochemical reduction behavior of organophosphorous pesticides
such as monocrotophos, phosphamidon, and dichlorvos have been studied
bv employing dc polarography, cyclic voltammetry, ac polarography, di
fferential pulse polarography, millicoulometry, and controlled potenti
al electrolysis. The general reduction mechanism of these compounds ha
s been suggested based on the results obtained. A differential pulse p
olarographic method is developed for the determination of title compou
nds in agricultural formulations. Both standard addition and calibrati
on methods are used for the analysis experiments. The lower detection
limits are found to be 1.0 x 10(-8), 1.25 x 10(-8) and 1.2 x 10(-8) re
spectively.
