Abstract
The first donor-stabilized [bis(silylene)]ruthenium compex, Cp(Ph3P)Ru
(SiMe2---O(Me)---SiMe2), has been synthesized by the thermal reaction
of CpRu(Pph3)2Me with HMe2SiSiMe2OMe. The X-ray crystal structure anal
ysis of this complex revealed its distorted-piano-stool structure, con
taining a RuSi2O four-membered chelate ring with two short Ru-Si bonds
and two long Si-O bonds.
