Abstract
The Mo atom in the title complex, [MO(CO)4(C14H14N2)] (I), is in a dis torted octahedral environment. The Mo-C distances trans to each N atom [1.944 (5), 1.955 (4) angstrom] are significantly shorter than those cis to both N atoms [2.031 (5), 2.045 (4) angstrom]. The carbonyl grou ps cis to both N atoms are bent away from the nitrogen-donor ligand wi th Mo-C-O angles of 172.1 (4) and 173.9 (4)-degrees.
