Hexachlorotriphosphazene reacted with 1,2-diaminobenzene, 1,2-diamino-
4-methylbenzene, 1,2-diamino-4,5-dimethylbenzene, 1,2-diamino-4,5-dich
lorobenzene, 2,3-diaminonaphthalene, 9,10-diaminophenanthrene, 2,3-dia
minopyridine, trans 1,2-diaminocyclohexane, 1,2-diaminobenzophenone, a
nd 1,2-benzenedithiol in THF in the presence of triethylamine to give
the corresponding mono- or trispirocyclotriphosphazenes. The structure
s were examined by IR, P-31 NMR, and H-1 NMR spectroscopy, mass spectr
ometry, and elemental analysis.
