Jp. Deoliveira et al., FOLIAR DIAGNOSIS IN CITRUS .1. EFFECT OF CULTIVARS AND OF LEAF COLLECTING QUADRANTS ON MACRONUTRIENT AMOUNTS, Pesquisa agropecuaria brasileira, 29(4), 1994, pp. 579-585
The effect of the position of the leaves on the tree collected for che
mical analysis, in relation to the quadrants, in 'Pera Rio','Valencia'
and 'Baianinha' orange trees and in 'Murcote' mandarin grafted over '
Rangpur' lime rootstock, was studied. The experiment was carried out i
n the Vitoria Farm at Alfenas, MG, Brazil. The experimental design was
in randomized blocks, with four replications. The treatments were: No
rth, South, East, West, North and South, East and West, and all quadra
nts (test plot). With relation to the quadrants, 'Pera Rio' and 'Valen
cia' presented variations for the Ca amounts; 'Murcote' for the K amou
nts, and 'Baianinha' did not vary. Comparing the cultivars, Baianinha
and Murcote presented higher amounts of P and K and smaller amounts of
Mg. 'Pera Rio' and 'Valencia' had higher amounts of Ca and smaller of
N in relation to the others and equal amounts between themselves. 'Mu
rcote presented the highest amount of N. S amounts were equal for all
cultivars.
