We describe 4 patients with syncopes due to tachycardias of different
etiologies. The causes and prognostic importance of syncopes are discu
ssed together with the therapeutic options, e.g., antiarrhythmic thera
py guided by programmed ventricular stimulation, surgery for ventricul
ar tachycardia, implantation of a cardioverter/defibrillator, and radi
ofrequency ablation of arrhythmias. In particular, the clinical presen
tation of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia and Wolff-Parkins
on-White syndrome are outlined.
