Abstract
2,4-Dichlorobenzoylnitrile oxide (I) generated in situ from the title compound reacts with amines under the condition of 1,3-dipolar cycload dition to afford the amide oximes IV and amides V. The ratio of IV and V depends on the structure of amine. Reaction of I with cyclic amines gave only IV. The reaction mechanism is briefly discussed.
