Cardiac pheochromocytoma is a rare tumour andmay be difficult to local
ize. We present a 32-year-old male with a cardiac pheochromocytoma tha
t was successfully resected. An initial unenhanced CT did not reveal t
he tumour. MIBG-scintigraphy indicated the location, but to get full i
nformation, a dynamic contrast-enhanced CT of the chest during adequat
e alpha and beta blockade was essential. ECG-gated MRI gave further in
formation about the anatomical details.
