Abstract
The design and performance of a new time to digital convertor for the readout of delay line multiwire proportional chambers (MWPC) based on a fast (1 GHz) oscillator is described. Further, a test circuit implem enting the space-time-space conversion method was built to prove the p ractical feasibility of this approach.
