She presented to hospital with hyponatra emia and cerebral oedema and later died We postulate that ingestion of large amounts of water contributed io the hyponatraemia. Advice to th ose using ecstasy at dance par?ies should be modified 50 suggest moder ate fluid intake only and to emphasise the need to seek prompt medical attention for non-resolving symptoms.
