Abstract
A new Schiff base of picolinaldehyde N-oxide with semicarbazide, [(C7H 8N4O2)2H] (L), and its gold(III), palladium(II) and platinum(IV) compl exes [(L)2H][AuCl] (1), [LH.H2O]2[PdCl4].2H2O (2) and [(L)2H]2[PtCl6]. 6H2O (3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses , molar conductance, UV, IR, H-1 NMR, fluorescent spectra and TG-DTA t echniques. A single crystal X-ray study of the complex (2) is also rep orted.
