The importance of hot gas desulphurization filters for the operation o
f gas and steam power stations (gas and steam turbines) was introduced
in [1]. Task of the hot gas filters is the scrubbing of the coal gase
s from aggressive gaseous components (especially H2S) at high temperat
ures and pressures. For the realization of this task, material-scienti
fic investigations were carried out. They are supposed to lead to impr
oved service lives of the ceramic filters. In contrast to the filter s
ystems (active layers on ceramized carrier matrix), described in [1],
the components of the active layer with regard to the binding agent (c
lay) and the scientific surface of the active component (zinc oxide) w
ere varied. Investigations on resulting modifications of the desulphur
ization behaviour of the ceramic filters are the subject of this paper
.
