Abstract
The spectrum of lowest states of the impurity complex made up of alkal i metal atoms in octa- and tetra-interstices of the fullerite and the nearest fullerene molecules is investigated. It is shown that the grou nd state of the complex in both cases is orbitally degenerated, and th e low-temperature and resonance properties just reveal the peculiarity of the degenerated centre. The effects to be produced by a possible n on-central position of the metal ions in the fullerite interstices are discussed.
