J. Yoshinari et al., MAGNETIC-STRUCTURE ANALYSIS OF MULTILAYERED OBLIQUE-EVAPORATED TAPE, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 134(2-3), 1994, pp. 348-353
Multilayered oblique-evaporated tapes have been developed which have h
igher residual magnetization with high coercivity, and can exhibit exc
ellent recording characteristics in comparison with single-layered tap
es. The magnetic structure of a double-layered model was calculated un
der the condition of the minimization of its magnetic energy on the ba
sis of the coherent rotation model including interlayer interactions.
Through this analysis, it was found that the multilayered tape of this
model can achieve high saturation magnetization whilst retaining a hi
gh coercivity by the interlayer interaction, even in a state of high c
olumn angle. It is understood that the multilayered tape has more exce
llent recording characteristics over a wide frequency range than singl
e-layered tape through this results.
