The cross section for light-quark electroproduction is considered. The
contribution of the infrared region (q(T) < 300 MeV) is shown to be n
oticeable. At small x and Q(2) similar to 4 GeV2, this contribution ch
anges the ratio F-2(x, Q(2))/xG(x, Q(2)) by 20-30% (or even more).
