Abstract
Larval body color of Colorado potato beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say), varies geographically. Genetic analyses of larval color variat ion in crosses of populations from Morelos (Mexico) and Rhode Island i ndicated that two loci with epistasis controlled larval body color. Th ere was no correlation between larval color and ovipositional behavior on potato. A higher percentage of red-orange larvae accepted potato a s food than yellow larvae.
