Abstract
1-Lithium-2-hydrogen-1,2-di-tert-butyldiphosphide (1) and 1,2-dilithiu m-1,2-di-tert-butyldiphosphide (2) have been synthesized by the metala tion of 1,2-di-tert-butyldiphosphane with n-butyllithium. 1,2-Dipotass ium-1,2-diisopropyldiphosphide (3) and 1,2-dichloro-1,2-diisopropyldip hosphane (4) were obtained by the degradation of a mixture of isopropy lcyclophosphanes (i-PrP)(3,4) by potassium and phosphorus(V) chloride, respectively. The compounds 1-4 are easily accessible starting materi als for the synthesis of open-chain and cyclic tert-butyl or isopropyl phosphanes. The P-31 NMR parameters of 1-4 as well as of the triphosph ide K-2(i-PrP)(3) and the tetraphosphide K-2(i-PrP)(4) are reported.
