Abstract
We report the case of a 41-year-old man with acute fulminant myocardit is. The patient went into cardiac standstill immediately after admissi on and was placed on a percutaneous cardiopulmonary support system. Th e system remained in place for 302 h, after which the patient recovere d from cardiogenic shock without complications and has returned to nor mal life.
