Abstract
The progress of recent research on the prevention and treatment of end emic fluorosis in China is reviewed. New types of endemic fluorosis ar eas have been discovered and surveyed. Regulations and standards for h ealth management have been formulated. The biological effects of fluor ide have been further investigated. The importance of fluoride researc h has gained greater recognition and international exchanges have incr eased.
