Gc. Cabello et V. Demoulin, ASPECTS OF THE ECOLOGY OF THE WOOD-INHABI TING FUNGI OF LAING ISLAND (PAPUA-NEW-GUINEA), Belgian journal of botany, 127(1), 1994, pp. 37-44
In the framework of a study of the ecology of wood-inhabiting fungi on
Laing Island (Papua New-Guinea), the most frequently occurring specie
s (namely Schizophyllum commune, Daldinia eschscholzii and Trametes sc
abrosa) were mapped. The results show a good correlation between the d
istribution of the fungi and the degree of vegetation cover.
