H. Reiner et R. Ebermann, DETECTION OF MYROSINASE (THIOGLUCOSIDE GL UCOHYDROLASE) OF INDIGENOUSBRASSICACEAE BY USE OF ELECTROPHORESIS AND FE(II)-S-DETECTION, Phyton, 33(2), 1994, pp. 211-219
In the presence of Fe(II)-ions the glucosinolates from the leaves of B
rassicaceae are degraded by myrosinase to nitriles and sulphur. On pol
yacrylamide the myrosinase was separated by electrophoresis, followed
by Fe(II)-S-detection. Thus myrosinase of wild growing Brassicaceae, m
ainly from pannonic climate area of Austria, was made visible.
