H. Trumel et A. Dragon, A HYPERELASTIC NONLINEAR MODEL FOR A NEARLY INCOMPRESSIBLE PARTICULATE COMPOSITE, International journal of engineering science, 32(7), 1994, pp. 1085-1101
The non-linear hyperelastic behaviour of a particulate composite, belo
w its yield point, in quasi-static loading, is described. A finite-str
ain Lagrangian model is proposed. The existence of a thermodynamic pot
ential is assumed. The observable state variable being the total defor
mation, the optimum clastic strain measure is sought, in order to desc
ribe in the best possible fashion the coupling between distortion and
volume changes, provided the great disproportion between shear and bul
k moduli.
