Abstract
A procedure is described that uses elastomeric impression material to retain and stabilize overdenture record bases without the use of costl y overdenture components. The retentive record base simplifies the reg istration of jaw relations and the analysis of esthetics and phonetics at the wax try-in stage by minimizing potential record base movement.
