Jr. Wait, ON MEASURING THE HORIZONTAL ELECTRIC-FIELD JUST ABOVE THE EARTHS SURFACE, IEEE transactions on instrumentation and measurement, 43(3), 1994, pp. 481-483
An analysis is given for the open-circuit voltage in a linear wire ant
enna located above a flat ground, with homogeneous electrical properti
es, for a distant vertically polarized source. The receiving wire ante
nna is allowed to be tilted at a fixed angle relative to the ground su
rface. In one case, the ends of the antenna are terminated in ground s
takes while, in another case, the antenna is unterminated. It is shown
that the staked antenna is less influenced by the asymmetry.
